SAINT LEO, Fla. – The Saint Leo women's lacrosse team's hot season start continued on Saturday against Davenport University. The Lions downed the Panthers 19-7, extending the program's winning streak to 3-0.
Sabrina Sanacore led the Lions with five goals off eight shots.
Leslie Ferguson's dynamic day featured three goals, six ground balls and two caused turnovers.
Sarah Pierson dominated the possession game with six draw controls, three caused turnovers, six ground balls and two goals.
In net,
Erin Davis earned four saves in 30 minutes of action while allowing three goals.

Caitlin Hansen said, "Our defense fueled our offense today. Our middies and attackers combined for 17 caused turnovers, which kept the ball in our attacking end. Our attack got multiple people involved with 8 different goal scorers, including
Sabrina Sanacore and her new career high five goals.
"We were strong on ground balls all game and our defensive unit and goalkeeping was solid," continued Hansen. "They held Davenport to under 10 goals, which is the third game in a row the defense has done that. It was a great note to end the month of February on. Now, we head into March and our first regional match-ups in North Carolina next weekend."
