Women's Basketball Notes
- Saint Leo dropped a 56-35 final at Tampa on Wednesday. Florida Tech was handed an overtime heartbreaker from Lynn University on Wednesday, 64-63.
- Alani Gallagher led the Lions efforts at Tampa with 11 points, eight rebounds. She enters the game averaging 8.7 points per game, shooting .463 FG% (74-160). In the last four games Gallagher has scored double figures facing Palm Beach Atlantic (14 pts.), Florida Southern College (13 pts.), Embry-Riddle (18 pts.) and Tampa (11 pts.).
- DeLise Williams led the Panthers with 18 points, six rebounds going 5-16 on the floor, 7-11 on the free throw line.
- Tanease Richardson scored 10 points in the extended contest. Kailyn Ebb lead the team off the glass with eight rebounds.
- Last meeting, Florida Tech downed Saint Leo 85-52 in the Marion Bowman Activities Center. Saint Leo was led by Mary Redmond with 15 points and Alani Gallagher with 14. Savannah Scott earned team-high five rebounds. Florida Tech's DeLise Williams earned 16 points, game-high seven rebounds. Gracie Doane also tallied double digits with 14 points.

Men's Basketball Notes
- Saint Leo heads to Melbourne with an 11-14, 7-7 SSC record after its most recent win, 58-53, at Tampa on Jan. 31.
- The win pushed the Lions to a two-game win streak. Kyran McClure scored a career-high 26 points on 10-of-19 shooting where he added a 4-for-8 mark from downtown. Drago Popovic tied his career-high in rebounds with 13 boards, 10 offensive.
- DeAndre King paces the team on the year with 12.3 points per game (308 total). Isaiah Hill is second on the team in scoring, 12.1 ppg, and leads the team in rebounds per game at 5.1 (118 total). Junior Searcy is tied with Hill in scoring, 12.1 ppg, and is second in blocks (19) to Pape Ngom (22).
- Florida Tech enters the weekend with a 10-11, 5-8 SSC mark after dropping its last three games, most recently at Lynn, 94-77 on Jan. 31.
- Jordan Majors, Sam Daniel, and Richard Coil all scored in double-figures for the Panthers against the Fighting Knights where Majors led the way with 26 points. Daniel added 17 as Coil tallied 14.
- On the year, four players average double-figures led by Sam Daniel with 24.8 ppg. Majors is second on the team at 21.8 ppg as Coil and Patrick Anderson round out the doube-digit averages with 11.7 and 11.2, respectively. Coil leads the team in rebounding with 187 on the year, 8.9 rpg.
- MATCHUP: FIT holds the season series at 1-0 after an 88-83 win in Saint Leo. Sam Daniel went off for 32 points while Jordan Majors added 26 and Patrick Anderson chipped in with 10. Junior Searcy paced the Lions with 25 points where Daniel Duarte came off the bench and scored 15 points. Kyran McClure chipped in 11 points to the point total.

Women's Golf Notes
- Saint Leo opens up the 2018 spring season at the Flagler World Golf Invitational. The Lions last outing was at the Saint Leo Invitational on Oct. 16-17 where the Green and Gold took second place out of 10 teams behind Nova Southeastern. The Lions shot a 592 (+16), six strokes off the Sharks 586.
- Amanda Jakobsson led the team, tying for fourth place with an even-par 144, with rounds of 72 and 72. Vilde Eriksen was second on the team and tied for sixth at 146 (+2) while Synne Lauritzen was 13th at 148. Alexandra Velez and Izzy Lawrence rounded out the five players in 28th and 41st, respectively. Â Velez shot a 154 where Lawrence shot a 157.
