WINTER PARK, Fla. – The Saint Leo women's soccer team needed all 110 minutes at Rollins on Wednesday. The Sunshine State Conference contest finished at a 1-1 draw with both goals coming in the first 36 minutes of play. The remaining 74 minutes was led by goalkeeper
Julia Ortiz with six saves.
Laura Hallissey notched her second goal of the season in the 18
th minute against the Tars. The early tally was matched in the 36
th minute from a converted penalty kick.
Saint Leo (3-8-2, 1-5-2 SSC) placed 8-of-13 shots on frame while Rollins (6-1-5, 4-1-2 SSC) put 7-of-17 shots on goal. Both opponents took four corner kicks. Hallissey finished the night with four shots, all dangerously on frame.
Carolina Solis-Deleon took three shots, one forced a save.
The Lions return home on Saturday, October 20 to host #9 Barry at 7 p.m.
