No. 9 Barry blanks Saint Leo

SAINT LEO, Fla. – The No. 9 undefeated Barry Buccaneers blanked Saint Leo 2-0 Saturday night, becoming the 2018 Sunshine State Conference regular season champs.
 
Saint Leo (3-9-2, 1-6-2 SSC) put together five shots, all landing on frame. Meanwhile, junior goalkeeper, Julia Ortiz, earned two saves.
 
Barry (13-0-1, 8-0-1 SSC) struck 14 shots, six on goal. Christy Grimshaw scored her 11th season goal, assisted by Gabby Sanon, in the 4th minute. Molly Sharpe also tallied her 11th goal of the season in the 62nd minute.
 
On Tuesday, October 23 at the Saint Leo women's soccer team will honor its senior class before hosting Tampa at 7 p.m.
