SAINT LEO, Fla. – Saint Leo women's basketball duo,
Nikira Hooks and
Delaney Bernard both turned in 10-point performances in Lions setback to Eckerd College, 54-45 Wednesday night in Sunshine State Conference action inside the Marion Bowman Activities Center. Bernard's 10 points marked her career-high where it was Hooks' fourth double-digit game of the year.

Anthony Crocitto commented, "We played a solid all-around game, controlling the temp and minimizing mistakes. We saw growth and will continue to see improvement regardless of wins and losses. These ladies followed the game plan and fought to the very end, for that, I am proud."
"Delaney scored a nice 10 and had some buckets go in and out while
Nikira Hooks' energy carried us in spurts. Maddie Lang was in true form with six assists and spirited leadership on both ends."
"Since we are losing a key player, we are still finding ourselves and will continue to fight daily in making the product on the floor stronger," concluded Crocitto.
