Cross Country Notes
- The Saint Leo men's and women's cross country teams will run at the Queens University of Charlotte (N.C.) Royals Challenge on Friday evening at McAlpine Creek Park.
- The Lions are ranked fifth in the USTFCCCA men's South Region poll and second in the USTFCCCA women's South Region rankings. Saint Leo women's cross country also checked in at No. 25 in the USTFCCCA Division II national rankings, marking the fourth straight week that the Lions have earned a spot in the national poll.
- Sophomore Ronald Cheserek captured Sunshine State Conference Men's Cross Country Runner of the Week for the second straight week after his performance last Saturday at the University of Florida Mountain Dew Invitational. Cheserek placed 12th overall with a time of 25:44.9, running a 5:10.8 mile pace. The SSC weekly honor was the sixth of his career.
- Junior Alyssa Bayliff paced the women's cross country team at the UF Mountain Dew Invitational with her 24th place finish, after crossing the line in 18:47.2.

Volleyball Notes
- Saint Leo heads to Miami Shores after a 3-0 sweep of Tampa on Sept. 26 in Tampa. The Lions won 25-18, 25-20, 25-20 to improve to 7-1, 2-1 SSC.
- Freshman Ashley Quero put down 13 kills on a .423 clip to lead the Lions' charge where Reggie Van Devender led defensively with nine digs. Anna Garrett racked up 27 assists while Dallas Jasper notched three blocks on the night.
- The win over Tampa marked the third straight victory over the Spartans and first time the Lions have swept the Spartans 3-0 since 2009.
- On the year, Quero leads the attack with 84 kills and a .228 hitting percentage. Victoria Omoregie and Nina Vattovaz have each added over 50 kills with Omoregie at 73 and Vattovaz at 62. Annabella Arcari sits just four kills away from 50 on the year with 46.
- Anna Garrett has played in every set and has racked up 270 assists with 10.38 per set on the young season. Defensivley, Jenya Kruglova leads with 106 digs on the year where Arcari leads with 24 blocks.
- Inside the Rick Case Arena in 2017: Saint Leo opened their season in Ft. Lauderdale and went 4-0 with a 3-1 win over then-no. 7 Minnesota-Duluth. The Lions will look to improve upon their record inside the Rick Case Arena Saturday.
- Barry enters the contest Friday after dropping their first SSC match of the season, 3-0, to Embry-Riddle on Sept. 23.
- In the setback to the Eagles, the Bucs were led by Jaeda Allen who tallied 12 kills on the night where Nathaly Alvarez dished out 17 assists.
- Allen leads the Bucs with 42 kills on the year as Juliana Tirabassi leads the team in assists with 76. Allen is the team leader in digs with 54, ahead of Gabriela Jansen with 44.

Men's Soccer Notes
- Saint Leo heads to Melbourne for a matchup with Florida Tech after dropping two straight Sunshine State Conference games against then-no. 9 Palm Beach Atlantic (3-0) and a 4-0 decision to Florida Southern.
- The Lions are led by Guillaume Campos on the year offensively with two goals where Yuga Yangisawa, Bryce Wilson and Tyler Palmer have each notched a goal for the Green and Gold.
- Till Lammertz and Armin Bajric have each tallied one assist through six games.
- Between the posts, Conor McElhinney has played the most minutes with 288:37 ahead of freshman keeper Wessel Berenschot at 270. McElhinney is 1-2 on the year with 17 saves where Berenschot is 0-3 with eight saves.
- Florida Tech is 5-1 on the year and 2-0 in conference play after taking a 3-1 win over Nova Southeastern to win their third straight game.
- The Panthers saw three players score goals on the night with Per Kenrik Nag scoring first followed by Luca Campanini and Solomon Wheatley.
- On the year, Brandon Smalley leads with five goals where eight other Panthers have scored at least one goal.
- Keeper Christopher Page has played and started five of the six games with a 4-1 record in 450 minutes of action. Page has 11 saves on the year and has allowed just six goals in.

Volleyball vs NSU Notes
- Nova Southeastern stands at 4-3 in the record column with a 2-1 SSC record heading into their weekend contests. The Sharks host Eckerd Sept. 29 before the Lions head to the Rick Case Arena.
- The Sharks dropped their most recent SSC match at Lynn in five sets after leading 2-0. Denvyr Tyler-Palmer lead NSU with 25 kills while racking up 18 digs to complete her double-double. Nicole Rivera and Samantha Blasko each notched double-digit assists with 19 and 15, respectively.
- On the season, Tyler-Palmer leads the charge with 149 kills in 402 attempts for a .261 percentage. Tyler-Palmer has added 88 digs into her season stats.
- Rivera leads the team heading into the weekend with 205 assists where Megan Burns has tallied 151 digs on the season.

Women's Soccer Notes
- The Lions head into weekend play after a week off and host Florida Tech on Sept. 30 after falling to Florida Southern in overtime 2-1 at home on Sept. 23.
- Saint Leo saw Victoria Covas rip a shot across the goal to the opposite wall to put the Lions ahead 1-0 early in the contest on a pass from Rosie Young. The Lions dropped the contest seven minutes into overtime.
- Four Lions have scored on the year in Victoria Covas, Rebeccas Anderson, Sofie Haellsten, and Kirsten Cleveland.
- Julia Ortiz has logged all 457:02 minutes between the posts this season with 16 saves and six goals allowed while holding a 2-3 record on the year.
- Florida Tech enters the contest Saturday after dropping their last SSC matchup to Nova Southeastern 3-2 where Elin Svensson scored both goals for the Panthers.
- On the year, Maria Munoz leads the way with four goals where she is joined by four other Panthers with goals on the year. Between the posts, Karlyn Prisco has logged all 653:34 minutes with a 3-2-1 record and 33 saves. Prisco holds a .960 goals against average with seven goals allowed post.
