#19 Volleyball Notes
- The Lions' volleyball team enters the weekend on a four-match win streak and a 10-1 overall record. Saint Leo has dropped just one match on the season and in conference play, and they stand at 5-1 in the Sunshine State Conference.
- In its last appearance on the court, Saint Leo defeated Eckerd in St. Petersburg, 3-1, after dropping the first set, 25-16. The Lions rallied to take the second set 25-18, the third set 25-20, and the fourth and final set 25-14 behind Ashley Quero's 12 kills. Anna Garrett added 36 assists, and three Lions were in double-digit digs led by Jenya Kruglova at 16. Garrett capped off her double-double with 14 digs while Britt Sederholm tallied 10 digs.
- On the year, the team leaders are Quero with 119 kills, Garrett with 369 assists and Kruglova with 145 digs.
- ALUMNI EVENT: Saint Leo welcome all alumni to attend Friday night's match,with the the alumni and current team playing Saturday at 2:00 p.m. prior to a reception at Ralph's.
- Lynn enters the match at 4-4, 2-3 SSC and on a one-match win streak. The Fighting Knights took down Embry-Riddle 3-1 on Sept. 29, winning the opening set 25-23 and taking the last two 25-20, each.
- Rafaela Fonseca recorded a double-double with 19 kills and 16 digs, and Sonja Udovcic recorded one of her own with 17 kills and 16 digs. Angala Jensen was one dig shy of a double-double with 46 assists and nine digs.
- On the year, Udovcic leads the way in kills with 95, while Jensen is the team leader in assists at 314. Andrea McDonald has a slight lead over Udovcic in digs with 161 to 105, respectively.

Cross Country Notes
- The Saint Leo men's and women's cross country teams will be participating in the 21st Annual Disney Classic presented by New Balance on Saturday.
- The meet attracts mostly small colleges from around Florida and the southeast, with a few teams traveling from as far as Ohio and Kansas to participate. Among the familiar opponents Saint Leo will see at the Disney Classic are Embry-Riddle, Florida Tech, Nova Southeastern, Palm Beach Atlantic, and Rollins.
- Both Saint Leo teams had record-breaking performances last weekend at the Queens University of Charlotte Royals XC Challenge. Women's XC senior Colett Rampf won USTFCCCA National Athlete of the Week honors after winning the women's 5K event at Queens with a time of 17:05 – breaking the Saint Leo 5K record by 27 seconds. On the men's side, sophomore Ronald Cheserek also turned in a first place and Saint Leo record-breaking performance with his winning time of 23:48 in the men's 8K; his time eclipsed the previous record by 35 seconds. Both runners were named Sunshine State Conference Cross Country Runners of the Week.

Men's Soccer Notes
- Men's soccer enters Saturday's match with a 2-5-1, 1-2-1 SSC record after earning its first draw of the year and first since 2014.
- The Lions saw Hermon Constant score two goals to put the Lions ahead both times, 1-0 and again 2-1, before Eckerd tied it in the 90th minute. Neither team could capitalize in the two overtime periods as the game came to a conclusion after 110 minutes.
- On the week, Saint Leo is 1-0-1 after a 1-0 win over West Florida on Oct. 1. Tyler Palmer was the hero in the 89th minute against West Florida, before Constant attempted to be the newcomer hero on Oct. 4 against the Tritons.
- No. 4 Lynn enters Saturday's contest with a 7-1, 3-1 SSC record and looking to return to the win column after their first setback of the season to No. 8 Palm Beach Atlantic.
- The Fighting Knights dropped their midweek contest to PBA 1-0 after the lone goal was struck in the 79th minute.
- On the year, Alun Webb leads the Knights with five goals and three assists for 13 points. Webb has tallied 17 shots on frame for a .708 shot on goal percentage.
- Alexander Roth is the lone keeper between the posts with a 7-1-0 record and six shutouts with 720 minutes of action. Roth has tallied 16 saves on the season and has allowed just three goals in eight contests.

Women's Soccer Notes
- Women's soccer enters its weekend matchup with Lynn with a 2-5, 1-4 SSC record after dropping a 1-0 decision at Eckerd on Oct. 4.
- The Lions and Tritons were scoreless until a goal in the 78th minute proved enough for Eckerd.
- Victoria Covas leads the team on the year with two goals for four points on a .600 shots on goal percentage. Rosie Young is the team leader in assists with three, while Young stands in second in points with three.
- Between the posts, Julia Ortiz has played six games with six starts and 547:02 minutes with 19 saves. Megan Charlton returned to the goal for her first appearance of the season making seven saves.
- Lynn enters Saturday with a 5-4, 3-1 SSC record after dropping a 2-1 decision to Palm Beach Atlantic on Oct. 4.
- Anna Shawley cut the Sailfish lead with a second half goal for the Fighting Knights but Lynn couldn't get an equalizer in before the final horn sounded. Shawley finished with five shots, three on frame and the lone Fighting Knight goal.
- Donish Henry-Cole and Gabriela Moreira lead the Fighting Knights on the year with four goals apiece while Henry-Cole is the team leader in points with 10 (4 G and 2 Asts.).
- Alexa Downie is the lone keeper to log minutes, playing the full 826:04 minutes with 55 saves on the year. Downie has helped Lynn to record three shutouts on the season.
