DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – Saint Leo women's tennis cleaned up in doubles competition and got a come-from-behind win from its top singles player during Friday's first day of competition at the Bethune-Cookman Juan Varon Wildcat Invitational.

Marta Vicens Miquel rallied from a 9-6 deficit in the third set and ultimately defeated Stetson's Arijana Korac, 6-3, 1-6 (11-9) at A Flight singles.

In doubles competition, all three Saint Leo pairings posted wins. The duo of Miquel and Maja Pindelska were victorious at A Flight doubles, while Kristyna Jurkova and Madeleine Gauthier posted a 6-4 win at C Flight doubles and Fabiola Cardenas and Andrada Gordan notched the victory at D Flight doubles.

Competition continues on Saturday at the Juan Varon Wildcat Invitational in the round-robin format tournament.
