WINTER PARK, Fla. – Saint Leo women's tennis captured singles titles at "B" and "C" flights to complete play at the 2017 C.L. Varner Memorial Invitational, which concluded Saturday at Rollins College.

Madeleine Gauthier knocked off Rollins' Savanna Fuller, 6-4, 6-3, to claim the B Flight singles crown, while Andrada Gordan defeated teammate Fabiola Cardena, 6-2, 6-2, to win the C Flight singles crown in an all-Saint Leo championship match.

In doubles play, the Saint Leo tandem of Marta Vicens Miquel and Gordan were felled in the A Flight championship match, 9-7. The pairing of Fabiola Cardenas and Sophie Vlietstra completed competition in B Flight, which was played in a round-robin format, with an 8-4 win.

Next up for Saint Leo women's tennis will be the Juan Varon Wildcat Invitational, hosted by Bethune-Cookman College, on October 27-29 in Daytona Beach, Fla.
