LAKELAND, Fla. – Saint Leo men's cross country took three of the top four spots and placed five among the top eight finishers to win the Southeastern Fire Short Course Invitational, Friday night at Holloway Park.
Saint Leo tallied 24 points, less than half of the total of second-place Southeastern (57 pts.)
Webber International (76 pts.) and Warner (113 pts.) were third and fourth respectively in the order of finish.
Junior Rafal Matuszczak was the top Saint Leo individual finisher in second place, with a time of 19:41.80 on the 6000m course. He led a trio of Lions in the top five; trailing Matuszczak were senior Valentin Lenz in third place (19:56.50), followed by sophomore Anthony Deleva in fourth (19:58.00).
