Ramos

Carlos Ramos

Ramos, who was part of the Lions staff from 2010-14, returns to the sidelines for the Lions in the 2016-17 school year.

He spent the 2015-16 as an assistant coach at Florida Atlantic where the Owls went 18-11, before falling in the Conference USA tournament quarterfinals. He helped coach two C-USA All-Conference honorees as well.

In his previous time at Saint Leo, he served as recruiting coordinator as well as the offensive and defensive coordinator. He was a part of 83 wins in his first stint with the Lions.

Ramos worked his way to the sidelines after concluding his playing career at Division I Ball State University in 2006.  After hanging up the jersey, Ramos moved into the coaching ranks when he was named the head coach for Hillsborough High School during the 2006 season.  Moving into the collegiate coaching scene, Ramos earned a spot on the coaching staff at the University of South Florida where he helped guide the Bulls to a 54-33 record during three seasons.

Ramos will also use his experience playing for the Borinquen Coquí Volleyball Club and his current knowledge of the Florida club volleyball scene while as a coach at the Tampa United Volleyball Academy to help the Lions, especially with his high energy style. He currently serves as TUVA's Director of Player Development.
