Abby Keim

Abigail (Moser) Keim was named the head coach of Saint Leo volleyball in April of 2025 to begin her second stint in the Green & Gold. Keim first stint began as an Assistant Coach in March of 2019 under-then head coach Jason Skoch.

Under their direction the Lions reached new heights as Saint Leo captured its first NCAA South Region Championship and NCAA Elite Eight appearance in the very first season of the Skoch era. The pair guided senior Anilise Fitzi to First Team All-Sunshine State Conference and All-South Region honors as well as AVCA Honorable Mention All-American plaudits.

Keim spent the previous two seasons as head coach of the Quincy University volleyball program in Quincy, Ill. In her first year as head coach she helped guide senior outside hitter Rebekah Raebel to first team All-Great Lakes Valley Conference (GLVC) honors. She guided the Hawks to third in the conference in digs per set in 2017 and then to second in 2018 at 18.94 dps. She had a perfect graduation rate in her two seasons at the helm and led the team to a 3.4 GPA.

Prior to taking over as head coach, Keim spent two seasons as an assistant coach at Quincy. She focused primarily on the defensive side of the ball and led the Hawks to a third place finish in the GLVC in digs per set in 2016. She helped guide her libero to a pair of GLVC Defensive Player of the Week honors and saw her named second team All-GLVC in 2016. She also had a senior middle blocker earn first team All-GLVC honors that season. In her first season as an assistant, she took the Hawks who ranked 11th in digs per set in the GLVC and improved them all the way to fifth in 2015. The team never dropped below third in the GLVC in digs per set during any of the following three seasons she spent at Quincy as either a head or assistant coach.

The Wildwood, Mo. native spent four seasons as a libero at Truman State prior to entering the coaching field, helping the Bulldogs to the 2014 GLVC Tournament championship. She was the starting libero for 134 of the last 135 matches of her career and is the Bulldogs' all-time leader in digs (2,416) and digs per set (4.75). She was the 2014 GLVC Libero of the Year and was named to the All-Midwest Region squad. Moser was a four-time GLVC Defensive Player of the Week.

In addition to her successes with a nationally competitive collegiate program, Keim was previously part of two highly regarded prep programs in the Rockwood Thunder VBC and Lafayette High School, where she also received recognition for her defensive play. Moser was named to the Under Armour/AVCA All-American watch list, as well as nominations to Missouri's All-Region and All-State teams.

Keim graduated from Truman State University in 2015 with a bachelor’s degree in exercise science and followed that up with a master’s degree in special education from Quincy University in 2017. Keim is married to Saint Leo head baseball coach Josh Keim and before returning to the Green & Gold, she spent the last few years as a registered nurse.
