Competed in six meets for the Lions … earned three top-10 finishes … was a part of the second place 4x400m relay team at the South Florida Collegiate Invitational (4/20) … also took seventh individually at the Collegiate Invitational (4/20) in the 1,500m at 4:14.32 … part of second place distance medley relay squad at the Tampa Track Classic (3/1) … earned a PR in the 1,500m at the USF Bulls Invitational (3/22) at 4:11.65 while finishing 19
th … also had a PR in the 3,000m at the Alan Connie Shamrock Invitational at 9:32.32 while taking 22
nd.
AS A FRESHMAN (2018)
Competed in four meets for the Lions… earned three top-10 finishes… was a part of the winning Distance Medley Relay team at the UT Track Classic (3/2)… took part in the 4x400m relay team that finished fifth at the UT Track Classic… placed 10
th in the 800m at the Embry-Riddle First Chance Last Chance Meet (2/17)… had best 800m time of the season at the USF Bulls Invitational (3/23), crossing the line in 1:59.20… best 1,500m mark came at the UT Track Classic at 4:16.23...D2ADA Academic Achievement Award winner.
CAREER
Prepped at Mount Dora High School… District champion in 2013… four-time Florida state cross country championship meet qualifier… two state qualifier in track.
PERSONAL
Born August 12 in Eustis, Florida… son of Tracy Chavis… has a sister, Jordan… enjoys hunting and fishing when not on the track or cross country course… favorite athlete is Roberto Aguayo… favorite foods include venison and fish.
