Competed at Lake Nona High School where he was coached by Jon Bartimioli... At Lake Nona, Rivera was a 4-year varsity captain, was named Freshman Player of the Year in 2011, named Offensive MVP in 2012, Team MVP in 2012... Was also named to First Team All-Metro 2012... Is an Orange Country All-Star... Holds high school career record for career goals and most goals in a single season... Also competed with the FC America U18 Premier team, where he was coached by Orlando Delatorre... Was a 2013 State Cup finalist.
