Biography

AS A SENIOR (2010)
Tabbed All-Deep South Conference Honorable Mention…Arakawa concluded his spectacular Saint Leo career by staring all 15 games for the Lions…Playing a defensive position that does not often garner many offensive statistics, Arakawa still posted 11 shots…Defensively, he amassed 68 ground balls and forced a Saint Leo single-season record 20 turnovers…He tallied a career-best eight ground balls against Merrimack (3/13/10), while tallying a seven ground ball effort against Wingate (2/24/10)…He forced three turnovers on a pair of occasions, including three in the DSC Tournament semifinal win over Florida Southern (4/15/10)… He helped lead a nationally-ranked defense that held opponents to just 7.47 goals-per-game, 112 goals, and a .252 shooting percentage... member of Saint Leo University President's Club Spring 2010

AS A JUNIOR (2009)
Arakawa had another great year on the field appearing in all 14 games and making 11 starts…On the offensive side, the defender tallied the first points of his career, scoring three goals and adding one assist for four points…He registered the first goal of his career against Grand Canyon (03/05/09) and posted a two-point game (1g/1a) against Catawba (03/12/09)…He picked up the game-winning goal against Franklin Pierce en route to the 26-2 in region win and earned Face-Off Yearbook Preseason All-America honors…His efforts on the field earned him DSC All-Conference Honorable Mention... member of Saint Leo University President's Club Fall 2008

AS A SOPHOMORE (2008)
Arakawa continued to improve his sophomore season appearing in all 16 games and making 13 starts…the defender concluded the season fifth on the squad in groundballs with 37 and led the team with six caused turnovers…His efforts on the field earned his All Deep South Conference Honorable Mention…He was one of two Saint Leo student-athletes chosen to participate in the NCAA National Student-Athlete Development Conference…He was also one of 19 student-athletes named to the inaugural DII Athletic Directors Academic Achievement Award list

AS A FRESHMAN (2007)
Arakawa played in 15 games for the Lions during his freshman campaign…The defender totaled one shot and was fifth on the team in ground balls with 31 and was fifth on the team in caused turnovers with one…member of Saint Leo University Presidents Club Fall 2006 & Spring 2007

Member of the 2006 West Florida Lacrosse League… Defenseman of the year… First Team All-Conference for four years and First team All-League for three years… 2006 Wesley Chapel Team MVP….Has four goals and 12 assists in his career…2005 & 2006 Wesley Chapel Warriors team defensive player of the year

Arakawa was born December 25 in New York, NY…Accounting major… His hobbies are playing lacrosse video games…. He names Brett Favre as his favorite athlete and the New York Yankees as his favorite team… He chose Saint Leo because of the lacrosse team… Son of Meredith Hankerson… He has one sister, Sanya and one brother, Schuyle
