Selected All-SSC Second Team... Played in all of the Lions 15 games this season... Posted one point on the year from his long-stick mid position... His best offensive performance came against Florida Tech (3/14/14) where he scored one goal... Posted a perfect shooting percentage... Tabbed 12 ground balls on the season... Forced 3 turnovers over the course of the season.
AS A SOPHOMORE (2013)
Played and started in 13 games for the Lions in his sophomore campaign... compiled 26 ground balls and caused seven turnovers... D'Airo was a dominating presence on defence... highlight game of the season was against Mars Hill on April 21, where he picked up five ground balls and caused two turnovers... also had a solid game against Rollins on February 28, picking up four ground balls and causing two turnovers.
AS A FRESHMAN (2012)
Started in all 14 competitions for the Lions... highlight game for D'Airo was against Florida Tech (2/14/12) - earned four ground balls and caused two turnovers... on the season totaled 21 ground balls... earned a team high 10 caused turnovers, including a career high three against MIT on March 28, 2012.
CAREER
Played for Lindenhurst High School under the direction of Coach Tom McCandless... 2011 Suffolk County DI All-Division Team...Amassed 168 ground balls in two seasons starting for the Bulldogs, finishing his career at 16th on the Lindenhurst all-time leaderboard...Named 2010 Most Improved, and 2011 Team Defensive MVP... Captained his team senior year... three year letterwinner in football and lacrosse...Member of the Long Island Express lacrosse club under the tutelage of Emil Caiazza.
