AS A GRADUATE STUDENT (2023)
Appeared in 40 games and started 30 of them… Batted .277 and recorded 26 RBI’s… had 33 hits including one double and six home runs… scored 16 runs… Had a .437 slugging percentage and a .341 on base percentage… Had his best game of the season against Eckerd on 4/22 where he recorded three hits including a home run and drove in two runs.

AS A SENIOR (2022)
SSC Commissioner's Honor Roll ...Was 2^nd on the team with a .339 batting average and 2^nd in home-runs with 10... Played in 50 games and had 94 total bases...

AS A REDSHIRT JUNIOR (2021)
Appeared in and started 21 contests for the Lions … posted a .275 batting average with a double and two homeruns … drove in nine while scoring 11 … drew nine walks and a team-high five hit by pitches … was perfect in 17 fielding chances … had five games with two or more hits … posted a season-high three hits versus Florida Southern (3/24), going 3-for-4 with a run scored and two walks … drove in a season-high two runs at Palm Beach Atlantic (3/18) and versus PBA (3/20) … drew a pair of walks on three different occasions.

AS A REDSHIRT SOPHOMORE (2020)
SSC Commissioner's Honor Roll ... Played in three games for the Lions in the COVID-19 shortened season … did not register a hit in four plate appearances … drew a walk versus Flagler (2/25) … also saw action at Lee (2/9) and versus Embry-Riddle (2/21).

AS A SOPHOMORE (2019)
Appeared in four games with one start … compiled a .167 batting average with a home run, two RBI and one run scored … made Saint Leo debut as a pinch hitter versus Tampa (3/16) … registered lone hit of the year at Nova Southeastern (4/6) as a pinch hit two-run home run … made first start versus Florida Southern (5/2) ... D2ADA Academic Achievement Award winner... member of Saint Leo University President's Club Fall 2019.  

CAREER
Transferred to Saint Leo after spending one season at St. Thomas University in Miami Gardens, Fla. … prepped at Charles W. Flanagan High School under head coach Ray Evans … named the Newcomer of the Year after his first season at CWFHS … Perfect Game Florida Region All-American Honorable Mention in 2017.

Born September 1 … son of Ricky and Irany Pelaez … has two brothers, Miguel and Felipe … enjoys fishing, reading and working out when off the diamond … lists his winning spirit as his best asset to the team … favorite athlete is Juan Soto … favorite team is the Miami Marlins … chose Saint Leo because of the beautiful campus, the calm atmosphere and the baseball program.
