Emmanuel Diyoka Mulowayi

Emmanuel Diyoka Mulowayi joins the program as an assistant coach for the 2015-16 season, after assisting the program as a practice player in 2014-15 while completing his undergraduate studies. Diyoka Mulowayi will assist Head Coach Vince Alexander in all areas of player development.

Born in Belgium, Diyoka Mulowayi grew up in Brussels. He was part of the player pool and selection process for the Belgian National Team U13 team in 1998-99, and was again tabbed for the Belgian National Team selection process in 2004-05 in the U20 player pool. He was a member of the Belgian club team Go Pass Pepinster between 2002 and 2004, and helped the club win the BBC Brussels Division 2 national championship in the 2004-05 season.

Diyoka Mulowayi graduated from Saint Leo in May 2015 with a bachelor’s degree in international studies, and will begin pursuing his MBA at Saint Leo this fall. The son of Kamuanya Bipendu Marguerite and Mulowayi Kayemba Germain from the Democratic Republic of Congo, he has three brothers and two sisters: Etienne, Pierrot, Vicky, Michael, and Germaine. His future goals include coaching and growing the game of basketball in Africa, and opening an orphanage in the Democratic Republic of Congo.
