Prepped at Oxford High School under head coach Justin Richards… helped lead to the District Championship as a senior… finished as a state finalist that same year… was a SWCL All-Star selection… posted a 7-0 record on the mound with a 1.68 ERA… batted .463 as a senior… team won the District Championship as a sophomore… finished as a state finalist that same year… also competed for the Cherry Valley Legion baseball team… was 4-0 on the season.

Born October 4… son of Wilfredo and Lizzette Hernandez… has a brother, Yariel, and two sisters, Marylee and Ashley… enjoys playing video games, listening to music and playing sports when not on the diamond… favorite athletes include Derek Jeter and Dellin Betances… favorite team is the New York Yankees… chose Saint Leo because he also wanted to attend college in Florida.
