Josh Keim joined the Saint Leo baseball staff as an assistant coach in the Fall of 2019. He was a former player under head coach Rick O’Dette and brought with him four years of NCAA Division II assistant coaching experience.
Keim’s first season on the diamond at Saint Leo was cut short due to the COVID-19 pandemic. He helped guide the Lions to four-straight victories before heading into the stoppage.
Keim spent the previous four seasons as the head assistant coach and recruiting coordinator at Quincy University in Quincy, Ill. The Hawks posted a 149-79 record during his time on the staff and the team achieved a top-10 national ranking all four years.
The Hawks advanced to four-straight NCAA Tournaments under his leadership including winning the 2017 Midwest Regional. QU earned two Great Lakes Valley Championships during his time including most recently in 2018.
In the summer of 2019, Keim served as the Field Manager for the Rockford Rivets of the Northwoods League. The Rivets posted their second most wins in franchise history with 33. Keim also served as the hitting coach for the Rivets in 2016.
Prior to embarking on his coaching career, Keim spent two seasons as a student-athlete at Saint Joseph’s College under current Lions head coach Rick O’Dette. Keim was a First Team All-GLVC performer as a senior and recorded over 100 hits in just two seasons.
Previous to Saint Joe, Keim played two seasons at Black Hawk College and Illinois State University.
Keim earned his Master's Degree in education from Quincy University in 2018. He graduated from Saint Joseph's College in 2015 with a degree in sports management.
