Drew Tumbelty joined the Saint Leo baseball staff prior to the 2019 season. Tumblety spent one season on the Saint Leo pitching staff as a player after transferring to the program from Rider University where he spent three seasons.
AS A SENIOR (2018)
Appeared in 19 games with a 6-1 record and a 3.64 ERA over 29.2 innings of work … tallied 4 saves on the season with 23 strikeouts and held opponents to a .259 average … allowed 30 hits, 14 runs, 12 earned and 10 walks on the season … picked up three- 3 strikeout performances against Alabama-Huntsville (Feb. 3), Tiffin (March 6), and Palm Beach Atlantic (March 30) … named to the 2018 Spring SSC Commissioner’s Honor Roll
CAREER
Transferred to Saint Leo from Rider University… converted from infielder to pitcher prior to his junior season at Rider, and charted 4.86 ERA over 16.2 IP… was rated the top prospect out of the Atlantic Collegiate Baseball League following the Summer 2016 season by PerfectGame.org… previously a First Team All-Burlington County and Third Team All-South Jersey selection following his senior year at Rancocas Valley Regional HS.
