Chase Turner joined the Saint Leo baseball staff prior to the 2019 season after a five-year playing career with the Lions.
 

AS A REDSHIRT SENIOR (2018)
Appeared and started 48 games for the Lions at third base with one appearance at first base (March 28) … recorded 46 hits on the year with 14 doubles and 8 home runs … drove in 44 RBI and scored 35 runs himself … finished his senior season with a .272 batting average, .389 on-base percentage and a .497 slugging percentage ... notched 10 multi-hit games with four-three hit games on the year … had a streak of 16 straight games of reaching base safely during the season … tallied 31 putouts and 89 assists on the year with a .870 fielding percentage

AS A REDSHIRT JUNIOR (2017)
Appeared in 42 games with 39 starts for the Green and Gold … Accumulated a batting average of .323 (53-164) … Had a total of 23 RBI and 7 walks … Earned 3 runs, 3 RBI, 1 homerun, and 1 stolen base off of 3 hits against the University of Bridgeport (3/13) … Had 4 putouts while facing Rollins (3/18) … Finishing the season with a total of 40 putouts and 61 assists while earning a fielding percentage of .927.

AS A REDSHIRT SOPHOMORE
Played in 46 games for the Lions… made 41 starts at third base, and one start at first… finished the season with a .303 batting average (53-for-175), hitting mostly in the no. 2 spot in the batting order… recorded 16 multiple hit games, including five three-hit performances… held an 11-game hitting streak during the second-half of March, lifting his average to as high as .320 after a 5-for-11 effort in the series against Rollins… finished the season with a 6-for-10 performance over three games at Florida Southern… defensively, he helped turn seven of the Lions’ 40 double plays… hit his first collegiate home run with a two-out, two-run shot to right field in the second inning against Saint Anselm (2/29)… cracked his second HR of the season with a shot to center field in the fifth inning against Minnesota-Crookston (3/15).

AS A REDSHIRT FRESHMAN (2015)
Appeared in 30 games this season... Finished the season with .196 average while collecting 10 RBI and scoring 13 runs... Best performance was a 2-for-2 with a walk, a double, and an RBI vs. Florida Southern... .960 fielding percentage and helped turn a double play...
