Played in 22 games with 20 starts … scored 155 points in 542 minutes in his final season … grabbed 77 rebounds (21 OFF + 55 DEF) … recorded 39 assists with 14 steals and 5 blocks on the year … shot .429 from the field (45-105) and beyond the arc (27-63) … finished the season with a 82.6-free throw percentage (38-of-46) … scored in double-figures in 7 games with a career-high 25 points on February 24th at Rollins
AS A JUNIOR (2014-15)
Played in 28 games during his junior season, making eight starts… averaged 5.9 ppg and 2.6 rpg… logged seven double-digit scoring performances… scored a season-high 16 points vs. Evangel (12/20) on 4-of-6 shooting from the field, including four 3-pointers, while going 4-of-4 at the free-throw line… a solid free-throw shooter with a 37-of-43 (.860) mark at the stripe… hauled down a season-best eight rebounds against Nova Southeastern (2/28) in the Lions’ regular season finale… became a consistent 3-point threat late in the season, and had at least one 3-pointer in each of Saint Leo’s final seven games of the season… finished the year 25-of-67 (.373) from beyond the arc, and was fourth on the team in 3-pointers made.
AS A SOPHOMORE (2013-14)
Played in 24 games for the Lions during his sophomore season… Made 1 start… Averaged 10.8 minutes per game… Led the team in free-throws with an 81.2 average… Sank 33.9 percent of his shots from the field… Earned a 35.1 three point percentage from the guard position… Pulled down 1.2 rebounds per game… Tallied 3.2 points per game.
AS A FRESHMAN (2012-13)
Griseck competed in 30 games for the Lions, starting 12…Averaged 1.6 points-per-game while shooting nearly 30 percent from the floor…Also was a factor from behind the big arc as he connected on eight 3-pointers during the season…went 11-of-12 from the free throw line, averaging 91.7 percent from the charity stripe…Scored a career-high eight points in a double overtime victory at Barry (01/12/13)…Registered a career-high three rebounds twice during his first season, once against Lynn (01/05/13) and at Nova Southeastern (02/02/13).
CAREER
Born Marques Trey Griseck, he attended Olympia High School where he was a three-year varsity starter under Head Coach Mark Griseck…He comes to Saint Leo after he scored over 750 points, pulled down 400 rebounds and amassed 350 assists in high school in leading the Titans to a Top 10 state ranking and consecutive State Championship appearances…Shot nearly 40 percent from the three-point line…was recognized as one of the top 100 seniors in the state of Florida…Named as a Top 15 senior in Central Florida.
PERSONAL
Born March 30 in Raleigh, NC…Is majoring in Sport Business…In addition to basketball, his hobbies include hanging out with friends, and spending time with his family, eating and sleeping…Lists graduating from Saint Leo as career goal no. 1 but would also like to try and go overseas to play basketball internationally and follow in his father’s footsteps and develop a career in coaching…He believes his best assets to the team include defending a wide range of players because of his length and athleticism as well as his ability to shoot from any spots on the floor…Names Los Angeles Laker legends Magic Johnson and Kobe Bryant as his favorite athletes and the Lakers, alongside the NFL’s Philadelphia Eagles as his favorite teams…He chose Saint Leo because he felt he fit in well with a great group of guys and the coaching staff showed a lot of attention to him and proved to him that he could play at this level…Son of Mark and Nesa Griseck…Has one brother, Myk Brown, who played for fellow Sunshine State Conference school Rollins…His father played basketball for North Carolina Wesleyan.
