AS A FRESHMAN (2019)
Played in six games for the Lions while starting two … posted a .333 batting average with a triple, an RBI and three runs scored … drew two walks and was hit by a pitch … made collegiate debut as a defensive replacement at second base against Lee (2/9) … came in at second base versus Tiffin (3/8) and drew a pair of walks while scoring once … also made two defensive assists against the Dragons … made first career start versus Tiffin (3/10) … went 2-for-3 at the plate with a run scored and a hit by pitch … made one assist defensively … also started against Purdue Northwest (3/12) … hit a pinch hit triple against nationally-ranked Tampa (3/16) while driving in a run and scoring a run … made final appearance at Nova Southeastern (4/6).

CAREER
Prepped at Westminster Christian Academy for head coach Nicholas James… named twice to the Broward All-American list… two-time All-Broward County selection… 2018 Rawlings-Perfect Game Preseason Florida Region All-American Honorable Mention… two-time Perfect Game Underclass Florida Region All-American Honorable Mention… batted .397 during his junior season with a .566 on base percentage.

Born July 28… son of Robert and Merle Villanueva… has a brother, Rob… enjoys listening to music and working out when off the diamond… lists his work ethic as his best asset to the team… favorite athletes include Javy Baez, Deion Sanders, Odell Beckham Jr., Michael Jordan and Barry Bonds… favorite team is the Miami Marlins… if he won the lottery he would buy an island.
