Made 19 appearances on the mound in 2016, including five starts… posted a 6-1 record… logged a team-low 4.38 ERA over 72.0 innings pitched… ranked ninth among SSC pitchers by ERA… his 62 strikeouts were tied for most on the team, and tied for 10th in the SSC… recorded a season-high seven strikeouts at Palm Beach Atlantic (2/27-G2), and again at home versus Eckerd (5/1-G2)… fanned five Montevallo batters in six innings of one-hit relief work in the season opener against the Falcons (1/29)… earned his lone save over Florida Tech (4/23), after pitching 1.2 innings of one-hit ball in relief.

CAREER
Transferred to Saint Leo from the College of Central Florida… posted a 4.37 ERA over 57.2 innings in 2015 with a 7-4 record… his seven victories was most of any Patriots pitcher… charted 32 strikeouts against just 16 walks… allowed 70 hits and 28 runs, all earned… played at Shorter University in 2014 as a freshman, where he posted a 3-4 record with a 6.18 ERA over 27.2 innings… fanned 12 batters for the Hawks while yielding 13 walks… played for coach Calvin Baisley at Land O’Lakes HS, graduating in 2013… First Team All-Sunshine Athletic Conference… Tampa Tribune Second Team All-Pasco County as a senior, joining current Lions Dylan Harris and Lane Stancil and incoming transfer A.J. Rainaldi on the squad… went 8-1 on the mound as a senior with a 2.10 ERA.

PERSONAL
Born May 20… pursuing a degree in computer information systems, and wants to go into the health informatics field… believes his best asset to the team is his easy-going and positive attitude… favorite athletes are Greg Maddux and Tony Gwynn… favorite team is the Atlanta Braves… states that his favorite food is anything his Grandma cooks… has two sisters, Kelsey and Emily Whitaker… son of Mark and Mitzi Whitaker.
