Vierk comes to Saint Leo after spending three years in themiddle at Northern Michigan University in Marquette,Mich…Playing under coach Dominic Yoder, Vierk was thestarting middle blocker and team captain for a Wildcat attack thattotaled 620 kills her junior year…She is a career .245hitter and has notched 155 total blocks in three years atNMU…She took home Great Lakes Intercollegiate AthleticConference Player of the Week honors in 2011...Vierk was namedSecond Team All-GLIAC in 2010...She will transfer to Saint Leo withteammate Abby Lovell.

CAREER

Vierk attended Harrison HS where she played on varsity underHead Coach Lori Janssen…The middle blocker is anaccomplished athlete with honors that include being named 2009 BigSchool Player of the Year as well as the 2009 Most ValuablePlayer...The Most Improved Player for Harrison HS in 2007, shefinished 6th all-time in career kills and 4th all-time in careersolo blocks.
