Saw action in 13 games, started six … recorded 12 ground balls and caused 10 turnovers, while only committing one turnover … finished his career with 44 appearances, 17 starts, 26 ground balls, and 22 caused turnovers … named to the 2017 Spring SSC Commissioner’s Honor Roll.
AS A JUNIOR (2016)
Saw action in 13 games, including nine starts … picked up nine ground balls and caused 7 turnovers, both career-highs … helped the Lions’ defense to a ninth-ranked scoring defense (8.43) in the nation and the No. 1 scoring defense in the SSC.
AS A SOPHOMORE (2015)
Buckley played in all 14 games for the Lions as a man-down specialist... notched two starts as a sophomore against Coker (2/14) and #2 LIU Post (2/27)... collected four ground balls, including two against Lees-McRae (3/12)... Casued a career high four turnovers at Coker (2/14).
AS A FRESHMAN (2014)
Buckley saw playing time in five games as a defenseman... Collected one ground ball on the season... Forced on turnover on the year against Limestone in the season opener.
CAREER
Competed at Ponte Vedra HS under coach Tom West... Was a four-year varsity letterman... Three-time district and regional champion... Named a pre-season All-American in 2013... Also competed with Team Florida club team under West.... Was an All-Star in 2011.
