Competed in 12 games for the Lions... earned two goals on the season off eight shots, and six shots on frame... tallied a man-up goal, and first goal of his collegiate career, against Mars Hill on March 12, 2012... collected four ground balls on the season... member of Saint Leo University President's Club Fall 2011 & Spring 2012

CAREER
Played midfield for the East Ridge High School Raptors...Three year varsity starter, and two-time captain...Named to the Suburban East All-Conference squad in 2010 and 2011...Earned Second-Team All-Section honors his senior year...2010 and 2011 team MVP...Swam for the Raptors, earning All-Conference, All-State, and All-Section honors...Member of the Minnesota Yeti club organization.

Born May 9, in Madison, Wis...Business Management major...Hobbies include paintball, wake boarding and waterskiing...Believes his work ethic and fast break shooting skills are his best assets to the team...Names Brett Favre and Paul Rabil as his favorite athletes...Names the Green Bay Packers and the Minnesota Swarm as his favorite teams...Chose Saint Leo because of the location, lacrosse program, and new school of business building...Son of Thomas and Laura Matenaer...Has two sisters, Carissa and Lindsay...Sister, Carrisa, was a DI swimmer at the University of Minnesota.
