ST. AUGUSTINE, Fla. – The sixth-ranked and four-seed Saint Leo University women's lacrosse team's historic season came to an end on Saturday evening. The Lions book ended their season against the top-ranked Flagler Saints. The host school took an early lead and never looked back defeating the Lions, 16-10. A season that saw many program firsts ends with a program best 15 wins.

Sophia Wood led the Lions offensively with four goals on nine shots, while Holly Hill finished with three points behind a goal and two assists. Jana Nuss added two goals and an assist, and Anna Wood recorded two goals and a team-high six draw controls. Grace DeWitt, Natalie Jones, and Sophia Santella each added goals for the Green & Gold.
Defensively, Meredith Eitel collected three ground balls while Parker Surace and Jana Nuss each caused two turnovers. Jessica Harclerode made seven saves in goal as Saint Leo finished the afternoon with 11 goals on 29 shots.

- Flagler jumped out to an early advantage with the first four goals of the contest before Saint Leo began to settle in late in the opening quarter. Jana Nuss put the Lions on the board off an assist from Sophia Wood before Wood added a man-up goal to trim the deficit to 6-2 heading into the second quarter.
- The Saints extended their lead to 9-2 early in the second, but Saint Leo answered with a late push. Natalie Jones scored with 4:22 remaining in the half before Holly Hill found the back of the net off a feed from Nuss to make it a 9-4 game at halftime.
- Flagler continued to control momentum in the third quarter, scoring five times in the opening seven minutes to build a double-digit advantage. Sophia Wood scored midway through the frame before Anna Wood added a late goal to cut the deficit to 14-6 entering the fourth quarter.
- Saint Leo mounted one final push in the final frame as Anna Wood scored early off an assist from Holly Hill and Grace DeWitt added another tally minutes later. After Flagler answered, Sophia Wood scored twice in the final four minutes, including a man-up free-position goal, but the comeback effort fell short as the Saints claimed the regional victory.
