SAINT LEO, Fla. - Saint Leo University men's lacrosse senior
Owen Wills was named to the United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association (USILA) national team of the week for his performance this past weekend. Wills defensive efforts led the then-#18 Lions to a dominating victory over then-#15 Flagler, 17-7.
Wills, a Kingston, Ontario native, had an assist, three ground balls, and three caused turnovers in the victory on Saturday. Wills currently ranks 19th in the nation for NCAA DII in caused turnovers per game.
The men's lacrosse team will travel to St. Louis, Mo. this weekend for a pair of top-10 opponents. The weekend opens with a game at #7 Maryville on Saturday, March 14 before taking on #5 Lewis in a neutral site game on Monday, March 16. Both games are set for a noon eastern opening face-off.
