MELBOURNE, Fla. – The #10 Saint Leo University women's lacrosse teams was selected to finish fourth in the SSC Preseason Coaches' Poll. The league announced the preseason poll as voted on by the SSC women's lacrosse coaches on Wednesday. The reigning national champion Tampa Spartans earned seven first place votes to claim the top spot. Saint Leo earned 30 points in fourth place.
Saint Leo returns four of its top five in points, this group features a veteran core of
Jana Nuss,
Holly Hill,
Sophia Wood, and
Natalie Jones. The Lions return four All-SSC honorees including Nuss, Hill,
Meredith Eitel, and
Abby Richards. Anchoring the defense in goal is senior All-American,
Jessica Harclerode.
The Lions open the season hosting #12 Flagler on Saturday, February 7, at 5 p.m. on University Turf Stadium.
