Box Score

SAINT LEO , Fla. - Saint Leo women's basketball fell to the Eckerd College Tritons by a score of 88-51. Leading the Lions in scoring once again was Junior Olivia Agunzo with 17.

First Quarter

Saint Leo set the tone early with physical play and purposeful ball movement. Freshman Zoe O'Leary established herself in the paint, controlling the glass and finishing through contact, while freshman Jailenn Green attacked off the dribble to apply pressure on the defense. The Lions defended well in the half court and matched Eckerd's pace, preventing any early separation.

Second Quarter

The Lions continued to battle in the second quarter, using defensive stops and transition opportunities to generate offense. Junior Olivia Agunzo helped facilitate the attack, creating open looks for teammates, while sophomore Amy Duggan provided steady playmaking and on-ball defense. Saint Leo stayed composed despite stretches of pressure, keeping the contest tight heading into halftime.

Third Quarter

Coming out of the break, Saint Leo raised its intensity on both ends of the floor. Green pushed the tempo and attacked downhill, while O'Leary remained a consistent presence inside on both ends. The Lions' defensive activity led to improved shot quality and key baskets that kept momentum swinging back and forth.

Fourth Quarter

Saint Leo continued to fight in the final period, executing offensively and contesting shots defensively. The Lions made a late push behind aggressive play in the paint and second-chance opportunities, but Eckerd answered with timely baskets down the stretch. Saint Leo remained competitive until the closing moments, showing resilience and composure on its home floor.
