TAMPA, Fla. – The Saint Leo University volleyball program used its off weekend to make a difference off the court, spending Saturday, September 27, volunteering at Feeding Tampa Bay.

The Lions joined forces with the organization to help package more than 10,000 pounds of food, providing critical support for families across the Tampa Bay region. The service project highlighted one of Saint Leo University's core values, Community. The student-athletes came together to serve others and contribute to the well-being of those around them.

"Starting off the weekend with community service was a meaningful experience for our team," said head coach Abby Keim. "I'm proud of the way our student-athletes embraced the opportunity to give back. It's important to us that they learn the value of service and understand the impact they can have on the lives of others."

The team worked together to sort, pack, and prepare food donations that will directly benefit local individuals and families in need. Saturday's project was another example of the Lions' dedication to representing Saint Leo with pride, both in competition and in the community.
