SAINT LEO, Fla. - In a heartwarming display of compassion and community, the Saint Leo University Baseball Team joined forces with Team IMPACT to spend a day with Tony, a courageous young boy battling cancer. The special day was filled with hope, laughter, and lasting memories.

Tony, who has been courageously fighting cancer, is now part of the Saint Leo Baseball family thanks to Team IMPACT—an organization that matches children facing serious illnesses with college athletic teams. On Sept. 5, Tony visited the Saint Leo campus where he got to be up close with his new team, experiencing what it's like to be a Lion for a day.

Highlights of the Day Included:

• Tony joining in practice, getting to throw, hit, and run alongside the team
• Team clean-ups, glove work, and bullpen time where teammates coached him and shared tips
• Special gifts and gear from Saint Leo Baseball to make Tony feel like one of the Lions

Head Saint Leo baseball coach, Josh Keim stated, "We are thankful we were afforded the opportunity to work with Team Impact to bring Tony and his family into our baseball program."
