NORTHBOROUGH, Mass. – Saint Leo University women's lacrosse and 18 student-athletes were recognized by the Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) on Wednesday. The Lions represented 18 of 588 student-athletes from 84 different institutions on the 2024-25 IWLCA Division II Academic Honor Roll. To be eligible for this honor, student-athletes must be a junior, senior, or graduate student and have earned a cumulative academic GPA of 3.50 or greater. The Lions as a team were recognized for their collective work in the classroom earning their accolades as an Academic Honor Squad made up of 383 schools across NCAA Division I, II, III, and the NAIA.
Saint Leo was one of eight SSC institutions to land a spot on the Academic Honor Squad.
Saint Leo's 18 honorees led all 83 NCAA Division II schools. The 2024-25 academic year marks the fourth consecutive year of nine or more student-athletes earning recognition with a spot on the Academic Honor Roll.
