SAINT LEO, Fla. – The Saint Leo University Softball team played two games on the third and final day of Regional action at Mary Cannon Cabot Stadium. In the morning game, the Lions faced off with sixth-seeded West Florida. After defeating the Argonauts 8-1, the Lions moved on to face third-seeded Auburn-Montgomery in Game 6 of the Regional. The Lions dropped the game 8-1 to conclude their 2025 season.
Against West Florida, the Lions were led offensively by Briana Neal who had a team-high three hits. Alexis Barber had two hits and two RBI, and Amel Salman hit her first career home run, a two-run shot in the sixth inning. Shyanne Waller followed with two hits of her own. In the circle, Tierney Hocquard pitched a complete game for the fourteenth time this season, striking out six batters, while only allowing one run.
Against Auburn-Montgomery, the Lions were led offensively by Hope Epps who had two hits and an RBI. Maddie Antioco recorded two hits as well on the day. In the circle, Chloe Hocquard earned the start and went two and a third innings, before T. Hocquard pitched the final four and a third innings in relief.

West Florida struck first with a single in the first inning.

Barber delivered an RBI single in the second inning to tie the game at one.

Nia DeBenedittis gave Saint Leo their first lead of the day with an RBI single in the third inning.

Moments later, the Lions took a 3-1 lead thanks to an RBI single from Hailey Beuerlein.

Antioco reached on a fielding error in the sixth inning, which scored Waller to give Saint Leo a 4-1.

Moments later, Barber scored on a fielding error by the West Florida pitcher to extend the Lions lead.

Salman capped off a great sixth inning for Saint Leo with her first career home-run, a two-run shot to right field to extend the lead to 7-1.

Barber hit a sacrifice fly to right field which gave the Lions an 8-1 lead.

Both sides were deadlocked at zero through the first two innings.

The Warhawks exploded offensively with five runs in the third, and another two in the fourth.

After a nearly four-hour weather delay the sides returned to the field, with AUM leading 7-0.

Saint Leo got on the board with an RBI single from Epps in the sixth inning.

The Warhawks added an eighth run in the seventh inning to cap off their victory.
