SAINT LEO, Fla. – The Saint Leo women's tennis team defeated Seton Hall 4-3 in a non-conference match at home on Thursday afternoon. With the win, the Lions improve to 7-1 overall this spring.
The Green and Gold claimed two of the three matches in doubles competition to earn the doubles point. In the first double slot, seniors
Luzia Obermeier and
Kamilya Shailina collected a 6-0 victory. In the second doubles position, senior
Claudia Borbon Roca and junior
Camila Keller won by a 6-1 margin.
During singles Borbon Roca won 6-3, 6-2 in the first slot while Keller claimed a 6-1, 6-2 victory in the fourth singles position. Sophomore
Madelyn Martin sealed the win for the Lions as she claimed a 6-1, 2-6, 6-4 margin victory in sixth singles.
