SAINT LEO, Fla. – The sixteenth ranked Saint Leo University men's lacrosse team jumped out to a 7-0 lead and never looked back in a 12-6 win over Concordia University Irvine on Tuesday night. Seven Lions found the back of the net as the team improved to 4-0 on the season.
Ben Baker led the Lions with three goals.
John Raucci,
Brayden Stellwagen, and
Tristan Leblanc registered a pair of goals each.
Thomas Nelan,
Aidan Knoetgen, and
Anderson Smith also found the back of the net. Lebanc led the team with four points as he also had a pair of assists.
Jimmy McGonigle (8), and
Andrew Graham (6) combined for 14 of Saint Leo's 38 ground balls. Graham won nine of 15 face-offs for the home team.

- Saint Leo struck first for the early 1-0 lead just three minutes in as Anderson Smith score his third goal of the season.
- Strong defensive efforts from both teams kept the score low, with several turnovers and failed clears.
- The Lions extended their lead with as John Raucci took a feed from Maverick Chernoff to double the Lions lead, 2-0.
- A man-up opportunity led to the first of three goals from Ben Baker as he gave the home team a 3-0 lead with just under two minutes remining in the first half.
- Saint Leo came out of the halftime break firing as it scored four straight goals within the first five minutes of the third quarter. Goals by Leblanc, Knoetgen, Nelan, and Stellwagen extended the Lions lead to 7-0.
- The visitors finally got on the board midway through the third quarter capitalizing on an open goal to make it a 7-1 Lions advantage.
- Saint Leo responded with two more goals as Raucci and Stellwagen pushed the lead to 9-1.
- The Golden Eagles closed the quarter with a man-up goal from cutting the Lions lead to seven.
- Saint Leo kept control with an early goal with Baker's second goal of the night.
- Concordia fought back with two goals in under four minutes cutting the deficit to six.
- Baker's final goal of the night came on a man-up opportunity to put the Lions in double digit goals.
- Both teams scored in the final minute as Tristan Leblanc took a feed from Raucci for a 12-5 lead. Concordia fired home the final goal of the night as the game ended with a 12-6 final.
