SAINT LEO, Fla. — The Saint Leo men's soccer program had senior
Shotaro Kino and sophomore Viktor Danielson selected to the 2025 Academic All-District team by the College Sports Communicators (CSC), announced by the organization on Tuesday afternoon.
The Academic All-District honor recognizes student-athletes who excel both on the field and in the classroom. To qualify, nominees must maintain at least a 3.50 cumulative grade-point average and be significant contributors to their team.
Both Kino and Danielsson served as premiere defenders on the Lions backline that ranked as the fifth-best in scoring defense in the Sunshine State Conference (SSC) with an average of 1.24 goals allowed per game.
Kino and Danielsson helped guide Saint Leo to its first SSC postseason berth in a decade as it earned the seventh-seed of the tournament.
