TAMPA, Fla. – The Saint Leo men's soccer team secured its spot in the Sunshine State Conference (SSC) postseason with a 1-0 victory over the Tampa on Saturday night on the road.
This marks the first time in 10 years that the Lions have earned a spot in conference postseason play and the first time with head coach
Brett Parker at the helm.
The Lions wasted no time getting on the board, as freshman

Adam Yousfi to give Saint Leo the early advantage.
That lone strike proved all the Lions needed, as redshirt sophomore goalkeeper
James Knudson turned in a composed performance in goal, recording two saves to earn his third shutout of the season.

Anel Rojas led the Lions offensively with seven shots, two of which were on goal.
The victory improves Saint Leo's record to 4-7-4 overall and 3-4-3 in SSC play, clinching a berth in the upcoming SSC Championship Tournament. This marks the first time in 10 years that the Lions have earned a spot in conference postseason play and the first time with head coach
Brett Parker at the helm.
The Lions return to the pitch on Wednesday, November 5 as they conclude their regular season with a non-conference road game at Florida Southern with a start time slated for 7 p.m.
