SAINT LEO, Fla. – The Saint Leo men's soccer team hits the road to kick off the 2024 campaign on Thursday. The Lions compete on the road in a pair of non-conference matchups at Auburn-Montgomery (Ala.) (Sept. 5) and at West Florida (Sept. 7). The season-opening match at AUM marks the fourth straight season the two teams are meeting in the season opener. 

The Green and Gold enter the fall 2024 season under the direction of sixth-year head coach Brett Parker. Parker will be assisted by first-year assistant coach and veteran soccer coach Graham Brown and Richard Bryan, who enters his second year as a graduate.

The Saint Leo lineup returns two All-Sunshine State Conference (SSC) honorees from the 2023 season in junior forward Anel Rojas and senior midfielder Edoardo Degl'Innocenti. Degl'lnnocenti led the Lions in points (14) with five goals and four assists, and Rojas tallied 13 points on five goals and three assists.

Saint Leo's 2024 schedule features four teams in the United Soccer Coaches (USC) Top-25 Preseason Poll including three SSC foes #3 Florida Tech, #11 Barry, and #19 Lynn, in addition to a non-conference Florida institution, #13 West Florida, who the Lions will face in the opening weekend.
