Hannah Goetzer made four saves as the Saint Leo University women's soccer team opened Sunshine State Conference play in south Florida with a 1-0 victory at Palm Beach Atlantic. Saint Leo's goal keeper duo of Goetzer and
Amit Beilin have combined to keep their opponents scoreless for the past 382:03 minutes spanning across the last five games. In that span, Saint Leo has out scored its opponents 9-0.

- Ella Owen and Elise McDonald led the Lions in shots with three each including a pair on goal for both. Katja May also has multiple shots in the game as six other Lions recorded a shot in the victory. Saint Leo has now totaled double digit shots in five of its six games in 2024.
- McDonald wasted no time looking to open the scoring as she registered her first of three shots on the night in the third minute sending a ball to the bottom right that found the PBA keeper.
- Saint Leo fired off eight shots in the first half forcing the Sailfish goalkeeper to make four saves. Freshman Jasmine Walia registered a first half shot in collegiate debut.
- Senior captain Franziska Theus attempted to get the Lions on the board in the final seconds of the first half, but her shot went off target.
- The home team registered three shots in the first half and Goetzer only needed to make a save on one of them to keep the first half scoreless including one just after a corner kick.
- In the first ten minutes of the second half, both teams turned up the attack with Goetzer making all three of her second half saves in a ten-minute span.
- The Saint Leo attack fired off three shots in a 73 second span forcing the PBA keeper to make saves off shots by McDonald and Arielle Jacus while May's shot went off target.
- In the 73rd minute, Saint Leo was awarded its first corner kick of the game. Pascoe sent a ball to the near side goal post that Gonsman was able to get just enough of and direct to the back of the net for her second goal of the season and a 1-0 Green and Gold advantage.
- The Lions defense limited the Sailfish to a single off target shot as they avenged a season opener loss to the PBA at home.
