SAINT LEO, Fla. – In the latest American Baseball Coaches Association (ABCA) national poll, the Saint Leo baseball moved up to No. 3 this week. The Lions jumped up one spot from last week's No. 4 ranking.

Saint Leo currently holds an overall record of 34-6 with a Sunshine State Conference (SSC) mark of 17-4 and are in second place in the conference.

At the dish, the Lions are hitting at a .301 clip with an OPS of .841and a slugging percentage of .427. The Green and Gold batting average ranks second in the conference. On the base path, the Lions have been aggressive with 148 stolen bases so far this season, which is fourth in the country. Additionally, Saint Leo has 269 RBI that is second in the SSC while its 228 base on balls also ranks second in the league.

As a pitching staff, the Lions hold a 3.64 ERA that ranks second in the conference and seventh in NCAA Division II in addition to their 3.44 strikeout-to-walk ratio that is second-best in the nation. The Green and Gold also posts a strong WHIP with a mark of 1.29 that ranks 10th in the country.

The Lions return to action on Friday, April 26 as they host Eckerd in a conference game at 6 p.m.
