SAINT LEO, Fla. – The 4th-ranked Saint Leo University women's tennis team dropped its second SSC contest of the season on Wednesday afternoon at home. The Lions fell to the Tars 4-3 as the final court came down to a deciding third set.

Luzia Obermeier and
Lavinia Lancellotti opened the match with a 6-2 doubles win over the 29th-ranked doubles team of Polina Ligay and Polina Vlasova. The Tars responded with a 6-2 win of their own at the third doubles before using a 6-3 win on the second doubles to clinch the opening point.
Saint Leo's
Camila Keller (6-1, 6-3) won at #5 singles to tie the match at 1-1. Rollins took a 3-1 lead with back-to-back wins at numbers three and six singles.
The Lions tied the match at 3-3 with back-to-back singles wins by
Claudia Borbon Roca (6-2, 6-3) at number four singles and Lancellotti (1-6, 6-1, 6-2) at #2 singles after rallying for wins in the second and third set.
Obermeier (2-6, 6-3, 3-6) and her opponent traded points as the match came down to the number one singles. Rollins took the first set before Obermeier forced a third and deciding set but ultimately fell 6-3 as the Tars took the match 4-3.
