DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – On Wednesday evening, the top-ranked Saint Leo men's tennis team earned a 5-2 road win at 16th-ranked Embry-Riddle in a Sunshine State Conference (SSC) contest.

Despite the Lions winning the third doubles match by a 6-4 margin, the Eagles won the first and second doubles contests to claim the doubles point. During the third doubles match, junior Vincent Thiel and freshman Eduardo Cohen collected a 6-4 win.

In the singles competition, second-ranked sixth-year Martin Soukal defeated #32 Safar Rasulov, 7-5, 6-4 in the first singles slot. In the second singles position, fourth-ranked Thiel registered a 6-4, 6-1 win over #36 Joshua Nuyts. Graduate student Nicolas Bacella notched a 3-6, 6-1, 6-2 victory in the third singles match. During the fifth singles slot, junior Dylan Andrianaly posted a win with a 6-3, 6-4 margin. Senior Luis Iriarte tallied a 6-3, 6-3 win in the sixth singles spot.
