SAINT LEO, Fla. – For the second time in his career and first time this season, senior
Luis Iriarte earned Sunshine State Conference (SSC) weekly laurels after being named the men's tennis athlete of the week, announced by the conference office on Monday afternoon.
Iriarte went unblemished this week going 2-0 in No. 1 doubles and No. 1 singles as the he helped the top-ranked Saint Leo Lions go 2-0 in competition this past week. On Tuesday versus Franklin Pierce, he helped the first doubles team for the Lions win by a 6-3 margin followed by a 6-3, 6-1 victory in first singles. On Friday against Wisconsin-Eau Claire, once again he guided the first doubles team to a 6-0 shutout win before earning a 6-0, 6-1 win at first singles. He teamed with graduate student

Saint Leo returns to the court on Wednesday, March 27 as it travels to take on Embry-Riddle at 3:30 p.m. in an SSC matchup.
