Game Recap: Men's Basketball |

Men’s Basketball Falls Short on the Road vs the Sharks in Season Finale

Fort Lauderdale, Fla - The Lions faced a tough challenge against conference powerhouse Nova Southeastern, ultimately falling short with a final score of 78-98. The loss puts the Lions record at 11-17 overall and 6-14 in the Sunshine State Conference to close out the season.

Grant Disken led the Lions in scoring with an impressive 22 points, supported by Cantia Rahming who contributed 17 points and grabbed 7 rebounds. Despite their efforts, the Lions struggled to contain Nova Southeastern's offense.

Despite the outcome, the Lions displayed resilience on the court, particularly in the paint where they scored 46 points and on the fast break with 17 points. However, Nova Southeastern's shooting performance, particularly from beyond the arc where they shot 42%, proved to be the difference-maker in the game.

The Lions were able to outshoot the Sharks from the field shooting 53% from the field, but the Sharks were able to get up 21 more shots than the Lions.

Both teams battled intensely throughout the game, resulting in a high-energy matchup with multiple lead changes and tied scores. However, Nova Southeastern's depth ultimately propelled them to victory.

The Lions close out their 2023-2024 campaign finishing 11-17 overall and 6-14 in conference play.
