#4 Women’s Tennis Takes Down Eckerd on the Road

ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. – The fourth-ranked Saint Leo women's tennis team earned a 6-1 victory on the road at Eckerd on Wednesday afternoon.

The Lions swept the doubles matches to claim the doubles point as junior Luzia Obermeier and senior Lavinia Lancellotti notched a 6-2 win at the first doubles slot followed by freshman Catherine Rabatin and sophomore Nicole Dufour tallying a 6-2 victory in the second doubles position. In the third doubles match, junior Kamilya Shailina freshman Madelyn Martin posted a 6-2 win.

In singles competition, the Lions continued to roll by winning all but one singles match. Dufour collected a 6-3, 6-4 victory in the first slot before Obermeier registered a 6-3, 6-2 win in the second singles position. At the third singles slot, Lancellotti won by a 6-1, 6-0 margin while Rabatin tallied a 6-1, 6-2 victory at fourth singles. Martin registered a 6-2, 6-3 win at the fifth singles slot.
