#3 Men's Tennis Clinches Spot in 2024 ITA National Indoors Championship Finals

INDIANAPOLIS – The third-ranked Saint Leo University men's tennis team is getting a chance to defend its title on Sunday. The Lions advanced to the 2024 ITA National Indoor Championship final following a 4-2 victory over Flagler College on Saturday.

The Lions improved to 6-0 on the season with the win over the Saints.

Eduardo Cohen and Vincent Thiel used a 6-3 doubles victory to clinch the doubles point.
After the Saints opened singles play with back-to-back wins to take a 2-1 advantage, Saint Leo quickly ended that threat. #36 Vincent Thiel rallied from a 6-1 first set loss to win 6-1 and 6-2 to tie the match at 2-2. #18 Martin Soukal gave the Lions a lead as he also rallied from a 6-2 first set loss to win 6-1 and 6-1 for the one point advantage. Dylan Andrianaly turned a first set 6-4 loss into a clinching situation as he picked it up in the second sent winning 6-4 and closing out the match 6-3.
