SAINT LEO, Fla. – The Saint Leo men's soccer team lost 2-1 against Eckerd on Friday night in a Sunshine State Conference (SSC) contest as the Lions celebrated Senior Night in the 2024 season finale. With the loss, the Lions concluded this year's campaign with a 3-9-4 overall record behind a 2-5-3 conference mark.

Juan David Hoffman struck first to give Saint Leo a 1-0 lead in the 16th minute of the first half. The Green and Gold defense held the Tritons in check for the first half with a shutout and only allowing one shot attempt. The Lions led 1-0 at intermission.
Eckerd laced the equalizer in the 63rd minute with a cross ball and a header goal. The Tritons scored 20 minutes later in the 83rd minute to claim a 2-1 edge. In the closing minutes, the Lions registered a few shot attempts, however, neither found the back of the net.
